The health and well-being of our members and their families is the first priority of Tennis Alberta & Tennis Canada.  Given the recent global outbreak of Coronavirus, we are appreciative of your concerns as they relate to the competitive structure.  Although Health Canada categorizes the risk level in Canada as “low”, we feel that pro-active measures must be put into place in order to protect our members:

Rogers Indoor Junior National Championships 2020

In the interest of public safety, Tennis Canada has provided notice this afternoon that the 2020 Rogers Junior Indoor Nationals are CANCELLED.   Given the fluid nature globally of COVID-19, Tennis Canada is taking all necessary precautions and respects public health and safety practices.

Tennis Alberta’s Competitive Structure

Alberta Junior Provincials U14 & U18 and the U10 Future Stars Tournament are now CANCELLED with the rest of competitive structure (tournaments) in Alberta being assessed.  Tennis Alberta will not penalize any player for withdrawing from tournaments until further notice.

We will continue to closely monitor the situation daily and prepared to make further changes if deemed necessary and communicate any changes to our membership.

Alberta Provincial HP Program Regroupings

U10 – U12 Regroupings will continue as planned.

We will continue to monitor communication from the Alberta Health Services and other government organizations.
