We are pleased to announce that Daniel Nestor will act as the Honorary Tournament Director for the Calgary National Bank Challenger! Daniel is a great Canadian athlete who has changed the face of tennis in Canada, and we are so proud to bring him to Calgary for this exciting event. Welcome, Daniel!

Nestor’s outstanding achievements will be honoured at the tournament on Friday, October 19, 2018 – Daniel Nestor Day. His involvement in this ATP World Tour event will also include a doubles clinic, a kid’s clinic, participation in the National Bank Pro-Am Tennis event and SportsNet960 Kidsport Day.

Join the Event Team as a Volunteer!

The Calgary National Bank Challenger is a large event that will rely on volunteers to make the event as successful as possible. If you are interested in making a contribution to this event by volunteering your time, please email us.

Volunteer roles include:

• Organizing Committee
• Box Office
• Ushers
• Drivers
• Lounge Concierges
• Set Up & Take Down

All volunteers will receive a limited-edition Calgary National Bank Challenger volunteer t-shirt and tickets to events.

Activities

During the event, the OSTEN & VICTOR Alberta Tennis Centre will be hosting multiple family-friendly events and free clinics for the community to enjoy:

October 13 & 14 Free Family Weekend including free clinics & free admission

October 15 National Bank Day including the Opening Night National Bank Pro Am

October 16 Kids Day including free clinics for Calgary school children

October 17 Club Day  Members of Calgary tennis clubs will receive discounted tickets

October 18 Sportsnet Fan 960 KidSport Calgary Day A portion of each ticket sold will be donated to KidSport Calgary to support youth sport participation

October 20 Battle of Alberta: See the University of Calgary Men’s team take on the University of Alberta

A retail village will also be running throughout the duration of the event.
