Tennis Alberta is excited to announce an expansion to our partnership with Mint Green Group, the official Canadian distributor of Dunlop. A year after Dunlop became our official Racquet and Court Accessory, the partnership deepens, with the Dunlop Grand Prix becoming the official ball of Tennis Alberta. Starting in 2026, the Grand Prix will be used in all sanctioned tournaments.

“Tennis Alberta is thrilled to expand our partnership with Dunlop and make the Grand Prix our Official Ball. Utilizing a brand that so many of our players will experience in future stages of their careers will help their development and position them for success. Our community has already seen tremendous value from our partnership with Dunlop and Mint Green Group. This expanded relationship will only further enhance the experience of our members.” —Colin Latchford, Executive Director, Tennis Alberta

The Dunlop Grand Prix

Dunlop entered the tennis stage over 100 years ago, manufacturing its first ball in 1924.A century later, its commitment to quality and consistency is truer than ever: Today, Dunlop is the only ball maker in the world that owns its production facilities, allowing for complete manufacturing oversight. This results in a ball with unrivaled quality control, giving you a consistent, reliable bounce.

Tour-level performance

The Grand Prix is consistently chosen by professional tours and collegiate programs worldwide. The ball is:

  • the most used ball on the WTA Tour
  • used at marquee North American events, including the WTA 1000 Miami Open, WTA500 Charleston Open, and WTA500 San Diego
  • one of the most used balls on the ITF pro circuit, Challenger Tour, RSPA, and UTR Pro Tour
  • regularly used for the Billie Jean King Cup
  • the official ball of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) women’s division
  • used by all schools competing in the NCAA

If that wasn’t enough, Dunlop is also the official ball of the ATP Tour and the official ball of the Australian Open.

Engineering excellence

It’s not just a ball. These Grand Prix are packed with technology that make it a dependable option for first timers up to the pinnacle of professional play. They’re engineered with Dunlop’s premium woven fabric, a high-specification core, and premium adhesives and finishings. The result? A consistent bounce in every can.
