We’re thrilled to share that our President, Michael Bennett, has been elected as the Chair of Tennis Canada’s Council of Provinces & Territories (COPT).
The COPT is a group of leaders from each Provincial & Territorial Tennis Association’s Board of Directors who are selected to provide a layer of governance to Tennis Canada. Through this group, the priorities and needs of the provinces are brought to the table at the national level. The COPT provides another channel for inter-provincial collaboration, beyond what already exists at the operational level.
True to form, Mike has already proven to be one of the most active COPT Chairs in recent memory by sitting on several national committees, meeting regularly with Tennis Canada’s CEO, and planning an important collaborative opportunity between the COPT and Tennis Canada’s Board of Directors.
Tennis Alberta congratulates Mike on his election and is excited to see the impact he brings at the national scale while he continues to lead our board.
