On July 9-14 five of Tennis Alberta’s U12 Team travelled to Vancouver to take part in the Stanley Park National Qualifying Event. Mac Kim, Kaetan Mehta, Braydon Bouliane, Adrian Jugovic and Sonya Mehta travelled with provincial coaches, Marc Collangeli and Ryan Schroffel. Throughout the event they learned about the complexities of competing on the road including healthy eating choices, how to recover between matches and team camaraderie.
All of the kids represented Alberta incredibly well. Congratulations to Mac Kim who came home with the Boys U12 Singles title and runner up in the Boys U12 Doubles category with teammate Kaetan Mehta.
A huge thanks to the Vancouver Lawn & Tennis Club along with the North Vancouver Tennis Club for opening their doors and allowing the kids to join in their training and gain valuable exposure playing against different players at different facilities.
