Tennis Alberta is excited to share that Colin Latchford has been selected by our Board of Directors as the organization’s new Executive Director.

“I am thrilled to join Tennis Alberta as Executive Director. I look forward to meeting and engaging with the Alberta tennis community as we work collaboratively to grow and develop our sport.”

– Colin Latchford, Incoming Executive Director

Colin joins Tennis Alberta from Squash BC, where he served as Executive Director for the past three years. During this period, he led the organization through tremendous growth across revenue, community engagement, and participation. Colin’s tenure also included developing a strategic plan, launching several major programs, and rebranding the organization.

Before his role at Squash BC, Colin built a decade-long career in tennis. A lifelong player, Colin began coaching in his teenage years in Ontario and is currently an active Tennis Canada Certified Club Professional 2. His tennis career saw him work in all corners of the industry, from leading a year-round facility as Tennis Director to managing community development for Tennis Saskatchewan.

Colin’s experience is supported by a strong educational resume, including a Master of Business Administration degree from Toronto Metropolitan University and graduate education in Sport Management. Colin is incredibly passionate about tennis and is excited to build and execute a strategy for Tennis Alberta that gets more people on court, supports facilities, and engages community members throughout the province.

Tennis Alberta engaged in an extensive recruitment and selection process to find our next Executive Director. We thank our Hiring Committee members and Humanis Talent Acquisition & Advisory for their work throughout the search.
