December 11, 2024
Tennis Alberta is thrilled to announce its partnership with Mint Green Group, official Canadian distributors of Dunlop and Nike Golf & Tennis. This milestone agreement will bring value to the Tennis Alberta community, across facilities and individual members. With this partnership, Dunlop becomes the Official Racquet and Court Accessory of Tennis Alberta, while Nike becomes our Official Apparel and Footwear.
“The Tennis Alberta team could not be more excited to share our new partnership with Dunlop and Nike, two iconic brands in our sport. Moreover, Mint Green Group’s commitment to supporting our sport development and community engagement efforts makes them the perfect partner for us, as we work to grow, develop, and support the Alberta tennis community.”
– Colin Latchford, Executive Director, Tennis Alberta
With the partnership, Tennis Alberta members will gain access to top-of-the-line racquets, equipment, apparel, and shoes—all at preferred pricing. Further, our facility network will benefit from member equipment credits and enhanced program support.
DUNLOP TENNIS
Dunlop’s tennis history is unmatched, with the brand introducing its first tennis ball in 1923—over 100 years ago. Its Maxply racquet, introduced in 1932 would dominate the tennis landscape for decades. Legendary players like Rod Laver, John McEnroe, and Martina Navratilova all trusted Dunlop racquets throughout their careers.
Today, Dunlop continues to innovate, earning consistent praise for its racquets’ performance. The brand’s influence continues to grow, with more top athletes choosing Dunlop frames. Jack Draper, a Dunlop athlete and 2024 ATP 500 champion, reached the semifinals of the US Open and holds an ATP ranking of 15 at the time of this writing. Alexi Popyrin won the 2024 National Bank Open—Canada’s premier tennis tournament—using a Dunlop FX 500 Tour. Dunlop is building momentum as its reputation for quality is attracting more of the sport’s elite players.
As part of Tennis Alberta’s new partnership with Mint Green Group, facility members will receive an equipment credit to help support their programs, while individual members will get access to an exclusive discount on Dunlop equipment.
NIKE TENNIS
Needing no introduction, Nike is one of the world’s most recognizable brands. Carrying a legacy of innovation and performance, the swoosh has been adorned by some of the greatest athletes of all time from Michael Jordan to Serena Williams.
A mainstay in tennis, Nike remains one of the sport’s most popular brands.
Among the many benefits of this new partnership, Nike will now be outfitting Tennis Alberta’s provincial teams, ensuring our players are representing the province with top-end apparel and style, perfectly matching their game.
ADDING VALUE ACROSS THE COMMUNITY
As Tennis Alberta looks to 2025 and beyond, this partnership further cements the organization’s dedication to supporting the province’s growing tennis community. With Mint Green Group’s support, our goals become more achievable.
“Today’s partnership announcement represents an amazing opportunity to deepen our connection with the Alberta tennis community. The Nike and Dunlop brands provide leading apparel, footwear, and equipment that will help foster the development of Alberta’s current and next generation of tennis players.”
