Players from Team & Alberta Team BC

The team, comprised of players from both Calgary and Edmonton,  was coached by Marvin Hinds and Marc Colangeli.

Team Alberta had a slow start on day one but bounced back on day two to play some of their best tennis against Team BC.

“On day two, the players showed that they had overcome some adversity and learned from the experience.  The message to the kids over the weekend was simple remember to breathe, compete and enjoy the moment,” says coach Marvin Hinds.

Athletes are selected for team events based on their proven track record for working hard, demonstrating good sportsmanship, and their willingness to give back to their teammates.

Hinds continues: “It was an invaluable experience for the team as most of them were competing outside of Alberta for the time and for many it was their first experience having to be at their very best from the get go.”
