After a year of training at home, uncertain training schedules and closures due to COVID-19, Alberta’s juniors were back on court competing in the 2021 Junior Provincials held at the Red Deer Tennis Club, August 18-23. A total of 115 juniors (U12-U18) have been waiting to show off their pandemic training in provincial play.
Recent Lexus of Edmonton 108th Alberta Open champs Chetanna Amadike and Sophie Stanton continued to dominate winning in their individual categories. Amadike is currently ranked #1 U16 Junior in Canada. Stanton is ranked #2 U14 Junior in Canada.
