Tennis Alberta is notifying members of a change to the Policy Manual approved by the board of directors. The following section under Section 6: Member Not In Good Standing has been amended as follows: 

SCOPE OF POLICY
The following breaches listed below would immediately identify the plaintiff as a member whom is not in good standing with the Alberta Tennis Association and will be sanctioned indefinitely from being a member of Tennis Alberta, including competing in Tennis Alberta and Tennis Canada team programs, sanctioned events, tournaments, camps, clinics in addition to being unable to avail of any supplemental benefits or services which complement a Tennis Alberta Full Club, Associate or Individual Membership:

  1. Proven breaches of the Code of Conduct;
  2. Proven Abuse and Harassment (sexual, physical, emotional, neglect, bullying, etc.);
  3. At the discretion of the board of directors, any active legal dispute between a Member and Tennis Alberta until such dispute is resolved and/or legal action (if any) is concluded;
  4. Outstanding dues/ payments.
